The Drive By Truckers    The Truckers are one of the Athens GA music scenes most successful bands of recent years. The Possibilities first met Patterson back in 96, and soon became his backing band, The Lot Lizards. Patterson soon formed The Truckers and our drummer(ect), Matt, played drums on their first two albums, as well as toured with them for the first couple of years. Our bass player(ect), Bob, just sang backup vocals on their new album, Decoration Day. buy essay

Hayride    We played with Hayride as long ago as '97. They are a great, big loud, rock band. Two Cow Garage    These guys are a relatively young band, but they don't sound like it. They tour incessantly, so watch for them in your town.

The High Strung    The High Strung are the best band touring the country right now. They just put out a great new album on Tee Pee Records out of New York, called These Are Good Times. We've played numerous shows with them, and hope to play countless more. If they don't become huge rock stars, or at least household names, something is wrong with the world.

The Minus 5 vs the Young Fresh Fellows    Check out the Mammoth site, which was streaming You Don't Mean It for a while.

R.E.M    I'm sure this isn't the first time you've heard their name.

The Minus 5 - Down with Wilco    This album may be Scott McCaughey's finest album. Although, the last 3 Minus 5 albums have been hard to top.

Harvey Milk    The heaviest, and most original band from Athens in the 90's. Weird time signatures, and heavy riffs.

Guided By Voices    Very prolific, badass British Invasion slanted indie rock from Dayton Ohio. Though the lineup has been changing, the albums remain strong.

RollingStone.com    Despite the ridiculous commercialism of the print version, the website actually has info and mp3's from lot's of underground bands. Of course, there is still plenty of crap like Puddle of Mudd and Brittany Spears, just ignore it.

MTV.com    This site has info on bands that they would never play on MTV, probably not even on M2.
